Join Mickey Davis (she, her hers), a Reproductive Health Educator at Maternal and Family Health Services in Northeast PA, as she discusses some of the lessons she has learned during five years of working to deliver sexual health education programs in NEPA. The journey includes funny stories and eye-opening moments she has experienced while getting paid to talk about sex (sexual health that is!) Participants will be invited to consider some of the barriers to promoting sexual health that educators and clinicians may face when working in communities where sex is still too taboo to talk about and begin devising ways to overcome them. So come laugh with Mickey as she recounts the sometimes awkward, sometimes funny, often heart felt conversations that happen when one teaches about human sexuality.
